What do you value?

When we meet people for the very first time, there are two questions that most ask:
What is your name?
What do you do?

Our name and our "job" often define us for others. But! Are you more than just a name and an occupation?

What do you value?
"Values are central; they go to the very core of us, to our personal identity.  Our principles are perhaps the most important thing as, whether or not we live out our dream or achieve our mission, they are most likely to remain intact. Values are a foundation and a plumb line as well as a moral compass." -- therightquestions.org

Self exploration is necessary for your first writing assignment: the personal narrative essay. You will need to pinpoint a time in your life that helped you to understand your personal values. Self exploration is difficult - it is much easier to critique others than it is to critique ourselves. St. Augustine even said
“Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.”
We search the universe for wonderful things without realize that we are wonderful creatures!

    4. Friends: Since we are kids we go to school, we play in the park, then we go to college and then we are in our job field. In those places we are not with family but we meet this people that enter in our life and treat us as family, Help us as family and let us grow up with them as family So I think we need to value our friends and make them know they are value for us.

  4. i believe in god, but not in religion, however i think my first priority is my faith, because I strongly believe that God is the center of everything and is the one that have gave me the other things that i value in y life as my family. My second priority is my family and my friends, they are everything to me, and they give me the strength that i need to do the things i propose in my life. My third priority is y career, i think that medicine is not just a career is a way of life and right now im puting all my time and effort to become a doctor, also my career is what is going to give me my future life, and i hoping is going to be enough to give my parents a good life too. I put love, as four, not because i dont think is as important as the other ones but i think is the only one that can get enough of me and leave me. i think as humans being we need that type of affection, but i will never put a man over my family, my friends or my career, however you can never say never.

  10. My family, they have been helping me to accomplish every challenge I took. And I will always be there for them in every situation they will need me.

Education is one of my biggest priorities because I consider that the knowledge is like my truly possession because anybody can take it away from me or I can't lose it.

Respect is the most important value to me, because I think that if you are not respectful means nothing all the goals you can get in life. People need to remember that everyone deserves it.

Responsibility will always define a person to me. Is a big word and it includes a lot of requirements. When you decide to be responsible you respect yourself and others and I see it like the best way to live.

5- The last one is friend, I believe when people say, by the time you get older you're going to have less friends because you have different point of view about life and more maturity.
