Prepare a short response to the questions. You can form a paragraph, following the structure we use in class, that tells a little bit about the history of vaccines and then how vaccines create community immunity. Publish your response in the comment section below.
The vaccine was created by Edward Jenner who saw that only the maids that worked with cows couldn’t get infected with measles. He discovered that by injecting the disease of the cow then people couldn’t get the measles disease. In those years, people considered that this was abominable so they didn’t believe him. But, through history it has proved that vaccines are effectives and whoever vaccinates developed immunity to diseases. So, if you think about it, if many people get vaccinate and don’t get the disease then the disease could be eradicated. In addition, when people get vaccinate then it can protect whoever couldn’t vaccinate (not developed immunity), because if someone has their immunity for a disease then that person couldn’t infect the other who doesn’t vaccinate.
ReplyDelete1)the vaccine was created by a curious mind of Edwwaurd jenner ,who start injecting his family with antingen of measles disease.
ReplyDelete2) people thought that Jenner was crazy because he started injecting his family with antigen measles disease.
3)the comunity Immunity is when everyone is vaccinated against something and so stop the spread of virus.example in the video was that children under one year from 2004 to 2007 had not died for chiken pox and it was not because they vaccinated because at that age does not put the vaccine but because the other children were vaccinated, what it mean that the comunity Immunity helps to reduce deases.
Edward Jenner created the first vaccine against the smallpox, he inoculated pus from a cowpox to his family members, son they didn't get the disease. People found disgusting that he injected pathogens to his family from a sick cow.
ReplyDeleteCommunity immunity is a form of inmmunity when a big portion of a community gets the same vaccine. They allow us to protect the ones that cannot protect themselves, when most of the people have inmmunity it eliminates a disease from a community.
1) The vaccine was creates by Edward Jenner
ReplyDelete2) Because he use the antigen measles disease to experience with your family
3) The immunity of the community, group or herd ( herd immunity ) is the protection of a given population to infection due to the presence of a high percentage of immune in the same individuals. community immunity can prevent the virus because people I were injected the virus to be immune

The first vaccine to be developed was Smallpox vaccine. The vaccine was introduced by Edward Jenner in 1798. He noticed that on the farm that milkmaids who had previously caught cowpox did not later catch smallpox by showing that inoculated cowpox protected against inoculated smallpox. He started injecting his family with pus from a cowpox. His discovery led to the smallpox vaccine and later the world's first and only infectious disease eradication. His discovery led to the smallpox vaccine and later the world's first and only infectious disease eradication. The people thought that he was crazy because he injected this to his family.
ReplyDeleteCommunity Immunity is a situation in which a sufficient proportion of a population is immune to an infectious disease, through vaccination and/or prior illness, to make its spread from person to person unlikely. Even individuals not vaccinated, such as newborns and those with chronic illnesses, are offered some protection because the disease has little opportunity to spread within the community. Also known as herd immunity.
The first Vaccine was created by Edward Jenner when he noticed that in the farm the milk maids did not get smallpox like everyone else, This discovery led to the smallpox vaccine. Besides the good effect of the vaccine, people thought he was crazy for inject sick animals pathogents in his family.
ReplyDeleteComunity immunity is when most of the people in a certain area had been vaccinated for a disease, its really important because when everyone or most of the people have the vaccine they reduce the odds for a person who is not vaccinated to get contagious because the disease cannot expand itself when everyone have the protection of the vaccine in their body.
The vaccine is any preparation used as a preventive inoculation to confer immunity against a specific disease, usually employing an innocuous form of the disease agent. Doctor Jenner was the first one who introduce the first vaccine using cows, he started scraping pus from sick cows into the skin of his family members and miraculously they didn't get sick. His discovery led to the smallpox vaccine and with the vaccine that disease was eradicate. People didn't like it because they thought it was disgusting that he would inject pathogens from a sick animal.
ReplyDeleteHe created community immunity in the world because with that vaccine we don't going to have the disease and nobody can infect Their self with smallpox.

ReplyDeleteWhen a critical portion of a community is immunized against a contagious disease, most members of the community are protected against that disease because there is little opportunity for an outbreak. And This applies to control of a variety of contagious diseases, including influenza, measles, mumps, rotavirus, and pneumococcal disease.
1)The first vaccine was created by Edward Jenner, using material from cowpox pustules to provide protection against smallpox.
ReplyDelete2) People thougt that he was crazy because he was introducing infected molecules of cows, so people did't get how it could be possible, they think it was disgusting.
3) When a critical portion of a community is immunized against a contagious disease.
4) Community immunity prevent the spread of diseases because there is little opportunity for an outbreak, even those who are not eligible for certain vaccines such as infants, pregnant women, or immunocompromised individuals get some protection because the spread of contagious disease is contained.
